Quick and Easy Breakfast!

Good Morning Everyone!

I wanted to share with you today one of my favourite super quick and delicious breakfasts! Now we all know how important breakfast is because we've heard that our entire lives, but to me the most important part of breakfast, and the most difficult part, is having a good enough meal to stay full till lunch time! That's where the importance of protein comes in!

When i was younger i absolutely loved eating bananas for almost every meal. For breakfast, I would cut up 1 banana and have banana cereal, which i still eat today because its so tasty. But, banana and milk for breakfast isn't exactly the most filling meal! So lately I've been adding protein cereal to the mix and i have now found my ideal banana breakfast!

Whats your favourite thing to eat for breakfast?!

Nail Polish Collection

I love me some nail polish.

Honestly, my collection is not that big. I don't have a giant wall shelf full, i don't have even a drawer full... i have a small La Senza bag full! Woo!!

My problem with nail polish is that i have ridiculously thin and brittle nails. They bend, peel, and tear easily. They are so soft, they actually don't even break... So! for the most part my nails suck, and i enjoy covering them!

My nails are not always painted, the are probably painted with a strengthening clear coat more than actual colours! buuuut, when i get in the mood for colour, its usually for a couple weeks straight.

I'm also very picky when it comes to colours, which i think is why i don't have many! i guess that's good since my other addictions are quite costly ( cough cough purses... ).

So here we go! I'll start by brands, and then finish with my top favourites!

Essie

Essie is probably my favourite brand. The brush is big, goes on super smooth, dries fast, has an amazing shine, and doesn't chip near as fast as other brands.
From left to right: Millionail nail hardener, peak of chic, muchi muchi, penny talk, in stitches, sole mate, glamour purse, ignite the night, beach bum blue.

OPI

OPI definitely comes in a close second as far as favourite brand. I just find that Essie dies a little faster, but other than that OPI is just as good!
From left to right: Nicole by OPI drying drops, Nicole by OPI Rainbow In The S-Kylie, Nicole by OPI Gold Texture, Panda-Monium Pink, Sephora by OPI I'm Wired, Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow, Black Shatter.

Revlon

As far as drug store brands go, its all about Revlon! So fantastic.
From left to right: Colorstay Top coat, Colorstay Base coat, Steel-her heart, Beguile, Plum night.

Randoms

And a few other randoms...
From left to right: China Glaze Winter Berry and Holly-Day, Dior Masai Red (I'm pretty sure this isn't mine... lol), and Sally Hanson Endless Claret, Snappy Sprinkles, and Flashy Fuchsia. I'm Pretty sure Ive never used the sparkles, and the hot pink is actually what i use to mark my makeup brushes... haha

Necessities

A few other things that reside in my La Senza bag...

Favourites

My favourite top and base coat duo are for sure the Revlon colour stay! The make any polish last for days without chipping and its shine is truly amazing! As far as sparkles goes, Rainbow in the S-Kylie is so colourful, so much fun, and pairs easily with many colours as an accent. Ignite the light by Essie's is the most gorgeous silver sparkles Ive ever seen. They are so opaque you can even wear them with no colour underneath, but its freaking beautiful as just an accent. The drying drops are a must have since I'm ridiculously impatient. Glamour purse is that easy grey brown colour that is so nice in the fall. Muchi Muchi is one of those all year round easy every day colours. Sole mate is my favourite for winter and its fantastic with ignite the night as an accent. I end with I'm wired by OPI because its my all time favourite colour. Its a beautiful coral pink and goes so well with my skin tone (and it pairs so nicely with Rainbow in the S-kylie as an accent!).

So that about covers it! Hope you enjoyed!!

A new beginning

Welcome to Beauty by KayBee.

This is not my first attempt at blogging; my first blog baby was created with one of my closest friends, Ashley, or as you may know, Dee. We created a place where the two of us could share all the things we love about the beauty and fashion world. I loved it... But as many of you can relate, life just gets in the way sometimes, and trying to create a schedule between the two of us was nearly impossible. I only see her every couple weeks and I wanted to spend them with her, not with our laptops. So I've decided to take my love go blogging, and the love of my dear friend, and venture off on my own. Now I'm very much hoping Ashley does the same thing,  because she is so talented and knows so much and as soon as she starts her own blog, I will share it here with all of you. I also hope that we will continue to work together, as guests on each others blog, but just when ever we feel like it, not on a strict schedule.

So that is how I came to the decision to start my new baby blog. I worked in the beauty industry for 4 years, but I've lived in world of beauty for much longer. I've learned and experienced so much that I just have to continue to share it with all of you. There many topics I plan to discuss here with you and it does not just start and finish with makeup. I want to show you all the things in the would I find beautiful. To me this includes makeup, fashion, family, home decor, and one of my personal favourites, photography.

I hope you all are excited to start this is beginning with me!

Ps. Please show some love to our first blog for all of our original posts!
